Matrics celebrate their results at Roosevelt High School.

ROOSEVELT PARK – Roosevelt High School celebrates their matriculants’ results.

Excited matrics gathered at Roosevelt High School on 6 January to receive their statements. The school maintained a 98 per cent pass rate, of which the staff members are very proud of.

Various pupils were asked what their thoughts and feelings were regarding their matric results.

Proud pupil Nontokozo Maseke said, “It was much better than what I expected. I am very pleased”.

Maseke plans to take a gap year and then study Industrial Psychology at the University of Johannesburg.

One of Roosevelt’s top achievers Kyle de Vos (seven distinctions) was very pleased with his matric results. His plans include studying Electrical Engineering up to masters level at the University of Witwatersrand. Olivia Randriamady was elated upon hearing the news that she earned six distinctions.

“I can’t believe it. I am so happy about the news and I feel so blessed” said Randriamady. She said she plans on studying Actuarial Science at the University of Cape Town.

Pupil Buhle Webb said, “I am beyond happy. I’ve faced a lot of personal adversity during the year, but overcame it by achieving these lovely results. God is truly good”. Webb’s intentions are to study Business Administration at Rosebank College.

Ebrahim Patel expressed his relief when he received his results. “I am so happy with how my results turned out. Hard work and perseverance truly pay off”. Patel’s future plans involve studying Film and Television Studies at the University of Johannesburg. He also expressed an interest in qualifying for a commercial pilot’s license.

Devendran Naicker said, “I cannot fully express my emotions in words. I am indeed happy about my results. It’s been a long and hard road but things turned out well.” Naicker plans to study Veterinary Science at the University of Pretoria.
