Here are some amazing holiday destinations in Africa that may suit your fancy.

n Cape Town – Thousands of people come to South Africa each year just to experience the beauty of the Mother City. Seven hotels in Cape Town dominate the top 10 list of Best Hotels in Africa, as voted by Travel Magazine’s readers in 2014. This destination has amazing wine and, of course, the famous Table Mountain, which is one of the world’s seven wonders of nature.

n Portuguese Islands – These Mozambican shores have become a popular destination. South Africa’s celebrities DJ Fresh and DJ EuphoniK are heading there this December, and keep returning in a cruise ship packed with lovers of the islands. The beach on that side of Africa will keep you entertained.

n Victoria Falls – This incredible holiday destination can be experienced on either the Zambian or Zimbabwean side. Columns of spray can be seen from miles away as, at the height of the rainy season, more than 500 million cubic meters of water per minute plummet over the edge, over a width of nearly 2km, into a gorge over 100m below. This incredible quantity of water generates huge sprays which shoot high into the sky and can be seen over 40km away, hence the name Mosi-oa-Tunya ( The smoke that thunders).Victoria Falls is a famous destination for many as there is more to see than the falls itself. There are numerous outdoor and indoor activities.

n Luxor – While Egypt’s summer heat can be quite unbearable, the weather in October is perfect. Catch up on some history of the tombs in the ancient city of Thebes or make a trip to the great Pyramids. Pamper yourself on a luxurious cruise on the Nile. You may also visit the Pyramids of Giza while on vacation.

n Mount Kilimanjaro – Linden’s David Batzofin and South African deaf swimmer Terence Parkin recently returned from the this famous Tanzanian destination. If you love the outdoors this may be a good challenge for you.
