WINSOR - Local Drug Action Committee will be doing a much needed door to door drug survey from 4 until 8 November.

In an effort to know more about drugs in the community, LDAC together with ward 98 Councillor Laurette van Zijl from Fairland, will be doing a door-to-door survey in Windsor East and West from 4 until 8 November.

“The purpose of the survey is primarily to find out what are the needs with regard to drugs and drug usage in the suburb, for example rehab and counselling,” said Van Zijl.

“It is also geared to finding individuals and NGOs who can assist in the fight against drug usage in the area.”

Residents are urged to participate in the survey by filling in the forms when asked to.

Van Zijl also informed that volunteers have already started going around the suburb, but the big drive will take place on Saturday 8 November. Residents can also assist by joining the survey team on the final day.

The survey consist of 15 personal questions which will need people’s honest answers, said Van Zijl.
