Matric 2014: Are you ready for the exams?

ROOSEVELT - Roosevelt high school aims for 100 per cent pass rate in 2014.

The countdown to the start of the matric exam is finally underway – 143 647 Grade 12 pupils across the Gauteng Province will begin their year-end National Senior Certificate (NSC) examinations.

Roosevelt High School is one of the schools that are ready to tackle the examinations.

Deputy principal Henk Ferreira informed that this year they are aiming for 100 per cent pass rate.

Last year, the school managed to get a brilliant 99.5 per cent pass rate

“The preparations are going very well and we are fully ready,” said Ferreira,

The school will be providing extra classes for their pupils.

“The students will be attending during the remaining weeks for a revision and we are proud that they did very well with their preliminary exams.”

Ferraira advised students to learn from the mistakes they made on their preliminary exams and to prepare fully.

“Work hard for this month, because that is what you have left and learn from your mistakes,” concluded Ferraira
