LINDEN - Casa do Sol school excelled at the recent Alberton and Randburg Eisteddfods.

Nobody can teach the Casa Do Sol School anything about song and dance.

This school for special educational needs swept up awards at the recent Alberton and Randburg cultural Eisteddfods.

The school choir, percussion group and senior dance groups were awarded first place in their categories at the Alberton Eisteddfod, with the choir scoring a whopping 99 per cent from the judges. The music games, percussion and choir scored above 95 per cent in the Randburg Eisteddfod, and even the children doing vocal solos excelled with scores ranging from 87 to 97 per cent.

“We are so proud of the children who participated in the Eisteddfods,” principal Jenny Drew said.

“Once again they excelled and impressed everybody, not only with their outstanding performances, but also with their exemplary behaviour. Everyone at the Eisteddfods was touched by their performances.”

Drew thanked Idolette Kotze and all the staff involved in the endeavour. “They went the extra mile to ensure the Eisteddfods were a great success and gave the children the opportunity to participate and showcase their talents.”
