One of Johannesburg’s biggest security companies, ADT, has compiled a list of suspicious vehicles that have been positively linked to numerous crimes.
The company has urged residents to be on the lookout for these vehicles and report them to police or to their respective security companies if seen:
1. Blue Volkswagen Golf: Registration number starting with TLZ 33, connected to attempted house burglaries.
2. Red Mazda 323 or Volkswagen Fox (with panel beaten orange patches): 3 Suspects, connected to hijackings.
3. Gold Hyundai ix35: Registration number starting with BM 48, connected to house robberies, vehicle is being used as a getaway vehicle.
4. White Chevrolet: 3 Suspects, all armed, connected to business robberies.
5. White Ford Kuga: 4 Suspects, connected to common robberies.
6. White Volvo S40: 3 Gangs using same type of vehicle with 3 to 4 suspects, who are armed, connected to driveway and house robberies.
7. Black Hyundai Tucson: 3 Suspects, connected to armed robberies.
8. Beige Lexus: 2 Suspects, connected to armed robberies.
9. White Chevrolet Cruze: 3 Suspects, connected to business robberies.
10. Green Hyundai Getz: 2 to 3 suspects, connected to robberies.
11. Silver Volkswagen Polo: 2 to 3 suspects, connected to armed robberies.
