And they lived happily ever after…

FLORIDA LAKE - Lake Lucy Brown's puppies have found homes and are set to live happily ever after.

Lake Lucy Brown and her puppies have trotted off into the rosy sunset, settled down and have finally found happy endings.

Those following Lake, Florida Lake’s lovable tramp dog’s story, will recall that Lake’s owner Sarette Vos had rescued the pregnant, destitute dog from the streets. Lake has since had her puppies and Vos was trying to find good homes for the litter a few weeks ago.

“They’ve all found excellent homes now,” Vos reported triumphantly. Admittedly, Vos couldn’t resist keeping two of the puppies for herself. “Rano and Zau are very happy at my home,” she said. “Mommy (Lake) has been sterilised, and all the puppies are attending the same training school, so they’re all together on Saturdays at the South African dog academy. They’re very happy.”

*Northcliff Melville Times’ previous article read Who Wants a Free Puppy? Vos said this is incorrect – an amount has been charged for the pups and they have gone for injections and deworming in the time that the articles were published. .

Vos also wanted to reiterate the guidelines she had for prospective puppy owners:

-A property check had to be done to ensure that owners had a properly fenced home for the dogs

-The dogs should be acquired as companions, not protectors

-Veterinary checks will be followed up by Vos

-The dogs have to sleep inside

-A contract has to be signed for sterilisation

-Proper food and water supply

-Dogs have to attend dog training school at the South African dog academy

-And over and above all: lots of love and one-on-one attention from the new owners.
