New chairperson for the CGA appointed

GREENSIDE - Central Gauteng Athletics Road Commission announces its new chairperson.

Tracey McKay, chairperson of road running at Pirates Sports Club, has been appointed as the new chairperson of the Central Gauteng Athletics Road Commission (CGA). CGA manages athletic events in the province with its close affiliation to Athletic South Africa.

The board that was recently elected comprises of:

President: James Moloi

Vice President: George Lamb

Road running chairperson: Tracey McKay

Cross Country chairperson: Steven Khanyile

Track& Field chairperson: Maggie Dicks

Athletics Commission chairperson: Zongamele Dyubeni

Additional members: Seema Laile, Thokozani Mazibuko, Selinah Metsing and Joe Morris

McKay said she has numerous ideas to share with her committee and athletes. She added that her purpose is to enhance the experience of all athletes.

She further called on all runners and running clubs to work with her and the road commission to achieve great results in the field.
