A taxi narrowly missed running over a beautiful young cross-bred white female whippet/fox terrier on Edward Road in Sophiatown on 29 March.
She dashed to the opposite side of the road and nearly struck my car. I stopped and picked her up and took her home.
She is clearly from a good home as she is house trained, well mannered, has a good nature and is extremely trusting and affectionate.
She is most probably the pet of a child who must be missing her.
Just a tip: pet owners should make sure when they employ gardeners or handymen, that they keep their gates are closed securely to prevent their animals from escaping into the streets.
