RANDBURG - Shop catered for sportsman and woman

The General Nutrition Centre (GNC) recently opened its first concept store in South Africa in Cresta Shopping Centre. The General manager of the GNC, Sean Kristafor said, “The centre was established in 1935 in the USA and now available in over 8 400 locations in 55 countries, GNC offers a wide range of vitamins, herbal supplements, sports nutrition and slimming products.” Previously the GNC products were sold at Clicks stores in South Africa since the beginning of the year.

“We launched GNC in larger Clicks stores throughout South Africa in February and the brand has already gained a huge following of health conscious consumers who want to improve their wellbeing.”

According to Kristafor a second concept store has been scheduled to open in the V&A Waterfront in Cape Town in May with several more to follow over the next year. Each store will have an experienced and qualified nutrition advisors on hand to assist customers in finding the correct products to suit their unique needs. GNC’s Cresta store will be one of the first in the country to feature the iGlass: an interactive touch screen built into the shop window which consumers can use to find out which products are right for them and do a health assessment as well as interact with GNC on social media.

The general manager concluded, “I want to thank everyone that was part of the launch event and that helped to make the night such a major success.”
