So fresh and so clean

WESTDENE - Residents and municipal officials come out to clean up the community's green spaces.

Volunteers proudly show some of the litter cleaned up: Darryl Smith, regional director of Parks, Alton Rankin, Tammy Reynard, Wiehahn Koortzen, president of the Westdene Residents Association, Robert Burger, and regional director Vicky Shuping.

Regional director of Region B, Vicky Shuping and regional director of Region B Parks, Alton Rankin, joined 17 volunteers to help clean Tighy Park and the Westdene Recreation Centre Park.

This was through an initiative of the Westdene Residents Association. Both parks were litter-free after the hard work of Westdene residents and the city officials.

Join the Westdene Residents Association in cleaning up Tighy Park (behind the U-Save on Thornton Road) every Saturday at 9am and the Westdene Recreation Centre (corner Fourth Avenue and Park Lane South) on the first Saturday of every month at 8am.
