Fairlands based engineering company showed their soft side.

On Friday 25 October, Richard Peace & Partners consulting engineers (pty) ltd released 100 helium filled pink balloons into the air in support of breast cancer awareness.

Each of the 100 balloons released had a message of hope and encouragement and the company wishes that when balloons come down the message will fall into the right hands.

Managing director of the company, Pieter de Bod said they did this because everyone is affected by breast cancer, directly or indirectly. One of their employees recently lost their mother due to breast cancer and that made them to want to do more to the epidemic.

“We hope to raise awareness and make people more conscious about the fight against breast cancer.” The company has also donated R1500 to Breast Cancer Foundation of South Africa and de Bod said this was just to demonstrate their commitment about the fight.

On the day, employees of RRP consulting engineers wore pink tops to show their solidarity in the fight against breast cancer.
