Babies’ Bandana Day

Northcliff - Opti-Baby nursery school raises funds for patients suffering from fatal blood disorders.

Opti-Baby nursery school held their annual Bandana Day in Northcliff on 4 October.

“All the money raised goes towards assisting The Sunflower Fund in increasing the South African Bone Marrow Registry (SABMR),” said Marita Louw, the manager and owner of Opti-Baby Northcliff.

SABMR was established to find and match bone marrow stem cell donors for patients who need a transplant. This includes those diagnosed with leukaemia and similar life threatening blood disorders.

“All the Opti-Baby Staff and Kids bought their bandanas from Pick n Pay and wore their bandanas to show their solidarity towards the brave fight that these patients face daily,” said Louw.
