Power and water outages in Northcliff

Northcliff Ext 25 residents have been experiencing random power and water outages without notice from City Power.
Resident Rafic Bhuskhaw said there have been three power outages within a course of a month, which have also affected water supply. The recent outage occurred from around 2am to 5am on 3 October.
“The reservoir uses electricity to pump water, so if there is no electricity we are likely not to have water at all.”
Bhuskhaw contacted City of Johannesburg with this matter but his success was short-lived when he was greeted by a voice recording.
“The recording mentions the areas that are affected but there is no mention of our area.”
Bhuskhaw suggests the City should find other measures to deal with outages, as this affects people’s homes and businesses.
City Power could not be reached by the time of publishing.
