MELVILLE – The Sparrow Foundation School will be hosting a fete on 26 October, at 36-60 1st Avenue.
Rita Pretorius, principal of The Foundation School is asking the community to join them for a day filled with an entertaining line-up. “We will be running a full programme for the morning with activities such as sack races, three-legged races, egg and spoon races, soccer and netball games and so one. We will also looking at inviting celebrities from radio and television, as well as soccer personalities,” Pretorius said.
In addition to the stalls they'll be having, the school will be providing space to rent for any person who would wish to sell goods of their choice. “The space will be R250 for the morning and whatever profit they make during the day will be theirs to keep,” said Pretorius.
“The stalls we will have available will be selling cakes, jewellery, boereworse rolls, second hand clothing, crafts and many other goods,” Pretorius added.
The Foundation School invites community members to join them in festivity from 9am to 1pm.
