Lifestyle clinic’s 67 minutes

Lifestyle staff members do it for Mandela.

The Laser Sculpt Clinic in Linden packs food for the homeless.

For the Mandela Day 67 minutes they kept aside R67 for every treatment done between 18 July which is Nelson Mandela’s birthday and the last day of July. All the money was used to pack food parcels for people who live on the streets. Children were involved in the packaging process since Mandela has a soft spot for them.

Aaliyah Adam the business owner said they were hoping to make 67 packets and fortunately managed to make 100. “All our staff members will help to distribute them,” she added.

According to the business’s manager Liz Knepscheld, they felt that they couldn’t let Madiba’s birthday pass without doing something in celebration of his legacy. Knepscheld said for team building purposes, the initiative was great for her staff and although it was serious, they had fun in the process.

“We look forward in helping the less fortunate.”
