Purim at King David Victory Park
The school had a fun day celebrating the day, dressing up as some of their favourite costumes.

King David Victory Park Campus celebrated Purim on March 8.
Purim, which means ‘lots’ in Persian, is the Jewish holiday that celebrates how the Jewish people were saved from annihilation in ancient Persia as told in the Biblical book of Esther. In the story, Haman, the evil advisor to King Ahasuerus of Persia, plots to kill all the Jews.

Leaners and teachers alike dressed up in colorful and creative costumes, ranging from traditional characters like Queen Esther and Mordechai to modern superheroes and pop culture icons.
The school had many learners take part in the various Purim-themed activities festivities which included the reading of the Megillah. As the day came to an end, the learners left school proud to be part of a community that celebrates its traditions and culture so enthusiastically.
