Jan van Wyk, a player said that most of the people who play are pensioners. “It keeps us busy,” said Van Wyk. Van Wyk explained that they play three to four games a week and one of the games is a competition game, where the players aren’t allowed to use a dictionary. “I have a system on my computer that picks the players that play against each other, so that everyone plays against everyone,” said Van Wyk. Player, Rosemary Tod said that she is a member at the club for already 16 years.

Joan Hawkridge, a member for ten years, said that she always loved to play Scrabble. “It is such a happy bunch of people,” said Hawkridge.
