GALLERY: Companies spread Christmas cheer
CRESTA – Spur, Ster-Kinekor and Mdakane Architects give complimentary food and movie vouchers to less-fortunate children.
Mdakane Architects, Golden Spear Spur and Ster-Kinekor proved that the Christmas spirit is here on 5 December at Cresta Shopping Centre.
They collectively donated complimentary vouchers and entertained children who are less-fortunate.
Single mother Pam Nkosi said Mdakane Architects approached her on 2 December and offered her and her three children a complimentary meal at Spur.
“Once we arrived at Spur the management informed me that Spur would like to offer more complimentary food vouchers to less-fortunate children,” said Nkosi.
She then gathered about 70 children from various children’s homes and rural areas who all enjoyed a free meal at Spur, a free screening of the new Snoopy and Charlie Brown at the Ster-Kinekor cinemas as well as a complimentary popcorn and drink.
Nkosi said she was blown away when she saw the true generosity given to her and the children by these three institutions.
“This was an absolute blessing and no words can express my gratitude towards these three institutions,” said Nkosi.
She said the most precious was the fact that the day coincided with such a special and memorable day globally.
“God chose and blessed the world including the rainbow nation with a peaceful and joyful angel Tata Nelson Rolihlahla Mandela on 5 December 2013,”said Nkosi.
