NEWTOWN – The sixth annual Maftown Heights revelled the crowd with the upper crust of Motswako music as well as by friends of Motswako.
Motswako-lovers flocked in their thousands to the Mary Fitzgerald Square in Newton for the Motswako music festival, Maftown Heights on 27 November.
The annual hip-hop festival took place for the sixth time and fans were not disappointed as big hip-hop names such as award-winning rapper Khuli Chana (Khulane Morule) headlined the show. Fans were treated to a performance by trio TKzee whose ’90s hit song resonated with the audience. The festival celebrated Setswana hip-hop music and was supported by other artists who support Setswana rap music.

It is all about having a great time while representing the cause. It is mostly about giving back to our fans,” he said.

She said that she was ecstatic to have performed at the festival, calling it a great opportunity for any artist to perform there. “The festival is really about the country coming together with Mafikeng to celebrate Motswako music,” she said.
