The Joburg Live Loud Concert was hosted by 5FM at Marks Park on 12 September. Thousands of concertgoers flooded to see the local lineup at one of the largest events to take place at the Emmarentia venue.
Taking place from 9am to 9pm, the atmosphere at the concert was one of festivity and relaxation. Ticket holders were able to bring picnic baskets and umbrellas to set up for a day of listening to some of South Africa’s top performers including the likes of Beatenberg, Jeremy Loops and DJ Fresh.
The day started off successfully, however, some concertgoers were disappointed when they were told they needed to abandon their own alcohol at the gates after some confusion about whether alcohol would be allowed into the venue.
5FM broadcasted their show from the venue itself. The weather was permitting despite the threat of rain on the day.
