Orban School takes your orders for the night

The school's Grade 7 class headed to a local restaurant where they shadowed staff.

As part of their leadership training, Orban School’s Grade 7 class shadow-waitered at a local Spur as part of their fundraising. The evening saw them not only have loads of fun but also raising R3 000.

Feedback of the night was all over the schools Facebook page, with users like Samantha MacMurdie saying the night was a fabulous one of which she saw as a great experience for the children. Another post by Bev Booker, said “This is what learning is all about! Well done to all.”

Barbara Papenfus said, “It is just so comforting and enriching to see the commitment and effort that is made by this school to provide its pupils with such phenomenal experience – such a brilliant school thanks to the principal and all the teachers! The pupils are very fortunate to have this input and privilege.”

Another Facebook user, Catherine Bishop, posted the evening was a magnificent one, which had an electric atmosphere and those, “Grade 7s learnt the ropes very quickly and truly stepped up to the ‘plate’s’, orders and service. What beautiful children, respectful and friendly, let’s hope we have another fun filled evening like the last.”

The schools principal, Liz Van Tonder said it was an awesome evening, “Grade 7s you make us proud. Such a privilege to have so many parents, family and friends support us.”
