Daniella Meireles is a junior head support commissioner at Fairland Police Station
Daniella wants to lead with integrity and zeal in her role as junior head support commissioner at Fairland Police Station.
The junior head support commissioner for the Fairland police station is a 14-year-old student at Northside College.
This comes after Daniella Meireles was selected for this position in May at her school. She has been embracing this position.
It has been a few months since this young leader has been chosen for her role and according to her, “This has been an amazing journey and experience.”
As the Fairland police station junior commissioner, she will have the opportunity to go to schools in her area and educate them about crime in schools and school safety.
“Employees of the Fairland police station came to my school and listened to 16 of our speeches and choose four of us. I was chosen as the junior head support commissioner for the Fairland Police Station,” she explained.
It was a great moment for her when she was chosen. She added, “As the Fairland Police Station junior commissioners, we will have the opportunity to go to schools in our area and educate them about crime in schools and school safety.”
Daniella has been to two rounds of district trials and then provincial trials. Recently she was competing at Wits for the provincial junior commissioner competition and unfortunately, she was not selected.
“Though I wasn’t chosen for the provincial trials I have the title Johannesburg district junior head support commissioner and the Fairland Police Station junior head support commissioner. I have met so many new people and learned a lot more about the police and the great work that they do,” she adds.
Daniella hopes to teach schoolchildren about what they can do to prevent certain crimes in schools and understand the importance of what crime leads to.
