Sophiatown CPF to hold Sector 3 and 4 elections
By joining your local sector body within the CPF, you ensure your suburb and community is better represented and therefore better protected by social crime prevention activities.
The Sophiatown CPF is continuing with its elective meetings across its four sectors.
Sector-level CPF bodies work more closely than the CPF executive in a particular community as they are focused on a specific area as defined by the police. The Sophiatown precinct has four sectors that work to support the overall CPF to help the police in combating crime and other ills that plague communities.
Residents, businesses, employees, residents, or other stakeholders who have a vested interest in their community are all encouraged to participate in the following elective meetings.
Positions up for election are chair and deputy chairperson, secretary and deputy secretary, treasurer, public relations officer, and four additional general members.
The following dates are for sectors, which residents are encouraged to attend and avail themselves to join the CPF for their area.
Sector 3
- Date: June 27
- Time: 17:00
- Venue: Roosevelt Park Bowling Club, on Milner Road.
- Suburbs: East Town, Montgomery Park, Northcliff Ext 9 and 13, Roosevelt Park, Waterfall Estate, and Westpark Cemetery.
Sector 4
- Date: Provisionally confirmed for July 10
- Time: 17:00
- The venue is to be confirmed closer to the time.
- Suburbs: Albertskroon, Greymont, Martindale, and Sophiatown.
