Tilly rules the roost in Northcliff
The little bird keeps everyone amused with her lovable antics as part of the family.
Tilly is a Cinnamon Pearl Cockatiel and one of her family’s most amusing members.
She was brought into the Maher family as a baby after she was born on September 8, in 2015 and has been spreading love and laughter ever since.
Every morning she has breakfast with her ‘sisters’ and joins the family for dinner at the dining room table every night.
Leigh-Ann said, “She also loves to relax with us on the couch while we watch tv and often falls asleep on me. Tilly loves us all, but I am definitely her favourite.”
When she is not in her cage, Tilly has absolute freedom as she flys around the house and ‘perches herself wherever her people are’.
“She is a very social bird and is very tame but does not like strangers much. Tilly is strong-willed and can be cheeky at times and is definitely a girl who knows what she wants!”
To end every day, Tilly and Leigh-Ann share some Rooibos tea before the little bird tweets that she is ready for bed.
“She is one of the family and our house just wouldn’t be the same without her sassy personality.”
