Spooks, scares, screams and sweets a plenty for Berario Halloween ride
The Kidical Mass cycling group arranged the well-attended event which saw children from the area ride 5km for sweets.
Kidical Mass is a group based in Berario who offers safe and fun riding experiences for children in the area.
For Halloween, they upped the ante by arranging a 5km ride for youngsters to participate in with various stops along the route to collect sweets.
The highly organised event saw young and old alike dressed up for the occasion with no shortage of laughter and excitement.
Nigel Laver, one of the organisers said, “It is lovely to see the community come together for an event like this, it really does make living in this area wonderful.”
He rode at the front of the peloton guiding the participants through the quiet streets on their quest for sugary treats.
SCP Security ensured everyone was safe giving parents and organisers peace of mind that no harm would come to anyone who was enjoying the day. Clive Maher said, “It is events like this that are so important for our community where the children get to enjoy themselves in their suburbs.”
The route started and finished at the Berario Recreation Centre which ensured cars were safely parked while the festivities were under way.
