Bears Wrestling Club comes back victorious

The wrestling club came back with several medals.

Bears Wrestling Club brought back an assortment of medals after they participated in the South African National Championships.

There, their wrestlers in the U17 and U20 competed in the senior and master categories where they achieved one gold and three silver medals.

This was not the only competition the Marks Park Sports Club-based organisation, competed in as they had six provincial wrestlers participate in the South African Youth and President National Championships held in Cape Town recently. There, their wrestlers achieved five gold, two silver, and bronze medals.

The club’s very own Bianca Taljaard, a referee, graded at level 2 in the nationals. Taljaard said wrestling is an art, a skill one develops with and does not know an age restriction.
