Heritage Day celebrations in full swing at Caxton

Mad Batter Bakers treat Caxton staff with South African flag cupcakes to mark the celebratory occasion.

Heritage Day celebrations at the Caxton North offices were made all the sweeter with a donation of South African flag-themed cupcakes.

Melanie Govender, Virnalize Welthagen and Theo Moodley compliment each other with their outfit colours this Heritage Day.

Heritage Day is celebrated on September 24 each year when people have the opportunity to showcase the country’s heritage and its different backgrounds and cultures.

Dikeledi Bele is all smiles for Heritage Day.

The Mad Batter bakery and catering company based in Honeydew donated the delectable treats to staff who work at the branch as a ‘random act of kindness’ and it certainly helped spread feelings of goodwill ahead of the weekend.

Melissa Taylor, owner of the bakery said, “Load-shedding has been tough for the business, but it won’t stop us from hopefully becoming the communities’ go-to place for sweet and savoury delights.” They offer deliveries for orders and cater both sweet and savoury food for clients needing large or smaller, more personalised catering.
