All set for Fairland Christmas Market Day
FAIRLAND – Clear your calendars for December 5, it's time to build the community and engage with each other.
CPF is ready to host its Christmas Market Day for 2021.
The time to spoil yourself with a day in the park while enjoying a big variety of food, music, drinks, kids’ activities and shopping has come to the Fairland Policing Precinct once again. The Fairland Community Policing Forum (CPF) will be hosting its annual Market Day on December 5 at Fairland Park on Smit Street.
The CPF will bring the community together again for a day of fun, entertainment and engagement, thanks to the presence and participation of local security companies, estate agents and charity organisations.
The CPF’s Yasmine Miemiec shared, “The market is first and foremost is a community-building event. We want neighbours and fellow residents to get to know each other, and to get to know the CPF, police, Victim Support Unit, and the Fairland Patrollers.”
Grant Harington from Thunderclap Media will be spinning the discs at the market all day long and taking requests to ensure that your favourite song is the soundtrack for your day. The market is also dog friendly and those attending are encouraged to bring their furry friends along.
Additionally, local businesses will get the chance to entice residents with their goods and services. Bookings for stalls are still open at R300 each, but Miemiec advised that the sooner it is booked the better as they are being reserved quickly. The CPF encourages the community to come out and support Market Day. All Covid-19 safety protocols will be observed to ensure the safety and wellness of all.
