De La Salle Holy Cross College learners garnered some top positions at a recent dancing championship.
The Irish Dancing SA Championships were recently held in Umhlanga and was a qualifying event for the World Championships to be held in Belfast. The dancers are part of the Robinson Dance Studio, an external provider of Irish and Highland dancing lessons at the school.
The event, which took place earlier in the month, was a much-awaited and eagerly expected event which, after the previous year’s cancellation due to Covid-19 restrictions, was well attended.
For the first time, three international adjudicators were judging and the dancers are said to have all rose to the occasion.
