BEVERLEY JACOBS, DA: I am committed to championing service delivery issues and fighting for the upgrading and maintaining of key infrastructure. I will foster intergovernmental relationships with provincial and national governments to resolve issues that impact the lives of residents and hold officials to account for any by-laws not being upheld. The safety and security of residents will be prioritised and have a hands-on approach to ensuring this.TEBOGO ELIAS TSHAKANE, ANC: I decided to run as a councillor because Ward 98 is unfairly led. There are characteristics of a first and third world in one ward. As a ward councillor, I will be one among equals and, although a tough post, I will have the imagination, audacity, stamina, patience, and a sense of the moment to run it effectively.
