A partnership to protect Alberts Farm
ALBERTS FARM – This partnership between Friends of Alberts Farm Conservancy will reduce the likelihood of waste dumping taking place on the perimeter.
Friends of Alberts Farm Conservancy thank SCP Security for all their work, support and sponsorship at Alberts Farm Conservancy.
The partnership between the two entities is an important one to the conservancy committee as it identified the need for the newly erected fence to be monitored due to possible vandalism or theft of the fence panels.
Johannesburg City Parks and Zoo agreed to the partnership which will last a year, after which it will be reviewed and thereafter could be extended to a three-year period within the expected memorandum of agreement.
Member of the conservancy committee Marianne Coetzee said SCP patrols the perimeter and surrounds as part of their patrolling schedule. There are eight pedestrian gates and four vehicle gates installed around the park.
According to Coetzee, this partnership will reduce the likelihood of waste dumping taking place on the perimeter. “Patrolling, together with gates being locked at night will prevent undesirable and damaging activities from taking place in the park under the cover of darkness.”
She concluded the security company has a dedicated presence in and around the park that will ensure the higher levels of safety for users and the surrounding communities.
