Pen and pencil arts

BRIXTON – Precise, accomplished, aggressive, phenomenal and aesthetic, how else would you like your art described and viewed.

‘Art is not the possession of the few who are recognised writers, painters, musicians; it’s the authentic expression of any and all individuality.’

These are the words of American philosopher John Dewey that have stuck with Stephen Kwee Mware in his journeys and adventures in the arts. With years of experience in fine arts, the Brixton resident is now offering his services to those that would love to immortalise themselves or friends and family through his artistic portraits.

Mware said, “I love being able to draw anything from people, pets, houses and cars using pencil, ballpoint and digital. These are what I have always done over time but I have also adopted other art styles to become an all-rounder.”

The fine artist has been putting his pens and pencils to paper ever since he was a child following through with his passion in high school and university. “Art has always been part of my life, a day doesn’t go by without scribbling something either on a piece of paper or any available surface.”

Mware added that he was also inspired to be like the greats such as French painter Claude Monet, Dutch Baroque period painter Johannes Vermeer and also apply modern concepts created by great digital artists such as Irina French and Kaya Oldaker.

After gaining all these skills, techniques and experiences backed by his undeniable talent, Mware has branded his art as ‘precise, accomplished, aggressive, phenomenal and aesthetic’.
