Pregnant girlfriend arrested in murder case

BRIXTON – The police found and arrested the suspect by 30 March and she is expected to appear in court soon.

Brixton Police Station detectives were able to arrest a 23-year-old woman who is accused of killing her 28-year-old boyfriend. According to the station’s spokesperson Jeanette Backhoff, a witness in the case approached to the station in the early hours of the morning of 28 March and reported the incident.

She said, “According to the complainant, the victim was stabbed with a beer bottle in the chest and was taken to Helen Joseph Hospital but due to his inquiries he passed on.” Police arrived on the scene to discover that the alleged suspect had already left. A murder docket was opened and the search for the suspect started. The police found and arrested the suspect by 30 March and she is expected to appear in court soon.

Backhoff added, “Application for bail will be opposed for further investigation. According to an eyewitnesses, the incident took place after a fight with the accused and the victim broke out.” The station has reminded the public, including men, that they should report any abuse or violence they face in their relationships. “This is again a warning to men and women who are in an abusive relationships to seek help.”
