Man killed in Westbury following a shooting on Monday night

WESTBURY – Paramedics assessed the man and found that he had sustained two gunshot wounds and showed no signs of life.

A man believed to be in his 30s was killed when he was shot outside of a residence on Jacaranda Place in Westbury, Monday night (10 January).

“At 9.07pm, ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene to find the local authorities already in attendance. A man was found inside the property against a wall,” said ER24 spokesperson Ineke van Huyssteen in a statement.

Van Huyssteen explained that medics assessed the man and found that he had sustained two gunshot wounds and showed no signs of life. Unfortunately, nothing could be done for him, and he was declared dead.

The details surrounding this incident are unknown, but local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
