Murder in Montroux?

MONTROUX – Members of the public with information on the 20 November Alberge Street murder called to share it with the police.

A man in his 40s was declared dead by paramedics on Alberge Street in Montroux after being shot.
According to Linden Police Station’s spokesperson Constable Takalani Matumba, the incident took place on 20 November around 11:20pm and was called in by a resident who lives in the same road.

She explained, “The complainant alleged that he heard the gunshots and when he went out to investigate the sounds, he found an unknown male of approximately 40 years old lying facing down on the road, bleeding from the back of his head.” The police and paramedics were called to the scene but unfortunately, there was nothing that could be done to save the man and he was declared dead.

Matumba added, “As it stands there aren’t any witnesses or suspects in the case. We have taken the deceased’s fingerprints to identify the body.” Matumba is pleading with members of the public who might have information on the incident to contact the station or share it with them anonymously.
“If there is anyone or family who has a family member who recently went missing they are encouraged to contact the station.”
