LINDEN – This year Hoërskool Linden entered the ‘My school rocks’ competition held by Jacaranda FM’s breakfast show, and on 8 February the radio show visited the school as part of the five finalists that were chosen.
The school entered the competition by sending a video of why their school rocks and was announced as one of the five finalists, the price for the winning school will win an enormous party at their school worth a R100 000 as well as a R100 000 airtime package.
The station broadcasted from all five schools and Hoërskool Linden had their turn on the morning of 8 February. The learners showed their enthusiasm and great team spirit.
Marianne Gouws, marketing for the school said, “The school had to do a talent show-off which included the linden choir singing. Our motto for the competition is: ‘Linden is a school with a passion’.”
