Linden Police Officers visit Roosevelt Park Primary School to speak about community safety

ROOSEVELT PARK – Police officers from the Linden Police Station visited learners to teach them about community safety and bullying in and around school.


ROOSEVELT PARK – The learners of Franklin D Roosevelt Park Primary received an educational visit from local police officers on 25 January.

The Linden police officers who spoke to the learners about bullying at school, the role of the police in the community and safety in school and met had an opportunity to meet the 2019 school council.

Constable Takalani Matuma, Communication and Social Crime Officer said, “The visit was very successful. The learners were very responsive, they enquired about visiting the police station and experiencing that environment and what the cells look like.”

Constable Matuma added that she is in the process of organising the visit for the learners to come to the Linden Police Station soon.
