Fairland police share kind words ahead of Christmas

FAIRLAND – The Station Commander of Fairland Police Station wishes all 'a festive season full of cheer and happiness'.

As the world gears ups for the busy and cheerful festive season, Station Commander as the Fairland Police Station, Lieutenant Colonel Clive de Freitas, reflected on the year that was.

He said, “After yet another exciting and successful year, we find ourselves at the end of 2018. While we’ve had many achievements during the year, we have also identified many obstacles which we aim to overcome during 2019.”

He stated that Christmas is a time for celebrating with loved ones and sharing it with those who are less fortunate. He hopes that the public remembers to use this time as a chance to spread the message of love and peace.

De Freitas offered well wishes for the friends and family of the station during this festive season. “It is my wish that you and yours will enjoy and celebrate a festive season full of cheer and happiness. For those of you who will be travelling over the holidays drive safely, slow down, take enough breaks and ensure the safety of your loved ones and other road users.”

He said he wishes that the New Year will come with many opportunities for all. “I hope that 2019 will present us with yet another opportunity to strive for a unified, prosperous community where people are at the centre of our development.”
