What a year King David Ariel has had

VICTORY PARK – King David Ariel remedial school are proud of the year they had.

King David is proud of the progress their remedial school has achieved over the last year.

In January this year, King David Ariel opened its doors. The school was the first Jewish Remedial School and hosted Grade 1, 2 and 3 learners. After a year of hard work, the school is proud to announce that they had an incredible first year.

The dedicated teachers and staff at King David Ariel remedial school deserve all the glory for the incredible year they have had.

Grant and Lorna Stock said the following in relation to their daughter’s first year at the school, “We have come from a space where we had to remove our child from her previous school and homeschool her last year due to her extreme anxiety and auditory learning challenges. At King David Ariel she is now in a space where she is happy, relaxed and learning beautifully.”

The year was so incredible that they foresee substantial increases in the number of learners at the school as well as classes and grades. King David’s Nirvana Rodgers said, “King David Ariel opened at the beginning of the year with 32 students and will end the year with 39 students. In 2019 we anticipate at least 65 students with two Grade 3 classes and the opening of the new Grade 4 class. The school is set to continue growing by grade annually until Grade 7 in the future.”

Sharing the campus of King David Victory Park has allowed the learners of King David Ariel to compliment their high quality education with high quality extra-murals.

The school derives many benefits from being an integral part of the King David Victory Park Campus. The learners enjoy a sense of community and belonging which is vital for them to grow confidently and to thrive. This is done with the help of their highly-skilled teaching staff, clinical director, two speech and language therapists, two occupational therapists, a physiotherapist, a remedial therapist and an educational psychologist. Their daily collaborations optimise every child’s learning in the classrooms.

The school will continue to make a difference in the lives of these children and their families. Rodgers said, “The systems in place are continually evolving to meet the social, emotional and academic needs of every child.”
