The body of a man was found in the river of Keith Fleming Park in Victory Park.
This came a day after a massive clean-up operation was held by Pikitup, Linden and Parkview CPF, Linden police, Metro police, Let’s Work and CAP security.
In a statement from ER24, members of the community had found the body and alerted the police.
The police’s Search and Rescue services retrieved the body of the man found floating in the shallow water.
Paramedics assessed the body and found that the man had sustained a large stab wound to the chest.
Paramedics were unable to do anything to assist him and he was declared dead on the scene.
The details surrounding this incident are not yet known but local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
Linden police have been contacted for details on the incident and an update will be made available as soon as possible.
