Rotary Club hosts it’s induction and awards evening at the Randpark Golf club

NORTHCLIFF – All the best to the new members and presidents of the rotary club.

A distinguished ceremony saw the Rotary Club celebrate some of their members and welcome a few new faces to the organisation.

The Northcliff Rotary Club awarded their prestigious members for this year. The ceremony was highlighted by excitement and enjoy as Dr Jan Christoph Hardenfedt was inducted as the club’s new president while Coral Stewart was inducted as vice president.

The club also inducted three new members – Robert and Agatha Jocobz and Christine Malata.

Zorba Miltiadou receives his Paul Harris fellowship award by district governor Charles Diner for the effort, energy and resources he has put into community projects and developments with the Northcliff Rotary Club.

President Jan Christoph welcomed them to the club and was encouraged to see younger members joining and challenged them to get involved in the numerous projects that are currently undertaken by the club.

The rotary club, a non-profit organisation which raises money or goods for charity, also awarded Zorba Miltiadou from Pick n Pay Northcliff Square the Paul Harris award.

This award is the highest accolade by the rotary and is given to an individual for their community support.

Miltiadou was heavily involved in the Camp Quality project by the rotary club. The project gives children who have been diagnosed with cancer a week away to White River in Mpumalanga.

 

Northcliff Rotary Club welcomes their new members Christine Malata, Agatha Jocobz and Robbie Jobobz to the club.

 

Past president Janet Callard pins the president lapel to president Anns Coral Stewart at the Northcliff Rotary Club induction and awards ceremony.

The evening culminated with acknowledging club members for their dedicated service in the 2017/2018 Rotary year.

The Brian Thurtell trophy was awarded to Paul Westcott and the Norman McCloud trophy was awarded to Dean Gounden.
