Liefde by die Dam returns to Emmarentia on 5 August
EMMARENTIA – The concert will once again feature an array of local talent.
Die Heuwels Fantasties, Karlien van Jaarsveld, Francois van Coke, Koos Kombuis, Elvis Blue, Bongeziwe Mabandla, Bouwer Bosch, Martin Bester and Schalk Bezuidenhout.
These are the artists that festival-goers can look forward to at this year’s Liefde by die Dam concert at Emmarentia Dam on 5 August.
Liefde by die Dam, named after Valiant Swart’s famous hit song with the same name, strives to serve as a platform to showcase the best local music. The programme features music for young and old, which makes it an ideal day out with your family or ‘besties’.
Pierre Greeff of Die Heuwels Fantasties said Liefde by die Dam was a very special event.
“We also aim to pay some love forward,” he said. “Bring your own picnic blanket and leave it behind after the concert. The Liefde Wen team will make sure that the blankets find new homes where needed.”
The concert starts at 10am and there will be a delicious range of South Africa’s best artisan food traders. People can also bring their own picnic baskets.
