Fun activities available for you at Northcliff Country Club

Winter is on its way but that is no excuse to sit at home doing nothing.

Northcliff Country Club may be the best-kept secret this side of the highway but it has something for everyone. The club was established in 1957 and has not looked back since.

The club boasts two bowls greens, five tennis courts, four squash courts, a running club, an air rifle range and also an old-fashioned pub.

“Social events such as night bowls, squash fun days, running marathons and more keep everyone in the family entertained, and we encourage everyone to join us for our social events,” said Kyle Nettleton, executive committee member.

The club is also home to the official Sharks Rugby Supporters Club of Gauteng which provides fans with an atmosphere you could only imagine in Durban.

The Northcliff Country Club is the new home to Run Zone AC, which has over 500 runners and is growing daily. They host runs on Saturday and Sunday mornings as well as time trials on Wednesday evenings.

The squash section accommodates all experience levels with social squash on Tuesdays and Thursdays as well as five league teams for those looking for something a little bit more challenging.

“Tennis lessons can be arranged with one of our in-house coaches. We encourage everyone to join the club and support your local country club,” said Nettleton.

The club is situated on the corner of Fir Drive and Pendoring Road.
