Hoërskool Linden’s 100% pass rate

Eager matriculants and their parents gathered at Hoërskool Linden to collect their results with much anticipation and excitement.

It was a morning filled with visible smiles, as the youngsters gradually trickled in. Principal Johan Wiehahn said the matrics performed well and achieved a 100 per cent pass rate.

“I attribute the good results to the hard work of the learners, support of parents and dedication of educators,” said Wiehan.

 

Elsje Rabie, Friede van der and Antzel du Plessis achieve top results.

Friede van der Berg achieved eight distinctions with an average of 89,4 percent. She said her parents are very excited about her results and support her chosen career path.

“This year I plan to study a BSc in microbiology at the University of Stellenbosch. I was inspired to study genetics after learning about it in biology and found it really interesting. I then knew I wanted to pursue it further. I would like to specialise in research and biology.”

Matriculants and their parents are excited after receiving their results.

Proud parent Leoni Rabie was there to show her support for her daughter Elsje Rabie, who achieved seven distinctions.

She said she is impressed by her performance and believes she really outdid herself.

“I’m glad she chose her current profession by herself and followed her passion. We plan on celebrating and look forward to the year ahead,” said Rabie.
