Parkview police make a successful arrest after a random stop and search

PARKVIEW – The police will conduct more random stop and searches in their sector.

Parkview police conducted a random stop-and-search operation in Parkview which resulted in three men being arrested for dagga possession.

This according to the spokesperson for Parkview Police Station, Captain Tintswalo Sibeko who said Sergeant Maliyakhe Nzama and Constable Padima Makhudu arrested the suspects while conducting their crime prevention duties.

They were arrested on the scene and appeared in Johannesburg Magistrates’ Court.

“We implemented conducting random stop and searches in the community in order to prevent crime-related incidents.The illegal items we discover on suspects are confiscated and they will be charged based on what they are found in possession of. Parkview police continues to conduct regular random searches to ensure the communities safety,” said Sibeko.
