Three girls left without bikes

SOPHIATOWN – The girls only had their bikes a year before they were snatched from their yard.

The Sophiatown Neighbourhood Watch is urging the community to look out for three bicycles stolen from a Sophiatown residence.

Three girls were left without bikes after thieves allegedly gained access into their yard via a neighbour’s wall at about 4.20am on 7 July.

All three bikes are only a year old and the parents of the girls are searching for them.

The Sophiatown Neighbourhood Watch is urging residents to let them know if they see the bikes or know of anyone selling them.

The Northcliff Melville Times contacted the Sophiatown Police Station to confirm the matter but were told that no record exists of a bike theft case which suggests the matter was not reported to the police.
