Audi A4

The finalists have been announced for the 2017 edition of the annual SA Car of the Year competition powered by Wesbank. The first finalist is an Audi, the A4 to be exact. Now this German saloon car was a bit late to the party with key rivals having been in the market for some time prior to its introduction

However, the new A4 was most certainly worth the wait. In terms of design the A4 managed to adopt the new Audi design language in such a way that it remains elegant yet dynamic, with an attractive silhouette and well-crafted lines. As is the order of the day with Audi, the interior is an ergonomic master class in terms of its layout and overall design. The materials used and the overall fit and finish is also commendable.

There is also a range of efficient and reasonably powerful engines and gearbox combinations on offer. Couple this with the fact that it rides on the superb MLB platform which underpins cars as impressive and expensive as the Audi Q7 and the Bentley Bentayga. The A4 is certainly one to watch in this edition of the Car of the Year competition.
