Casa do Sol’s enthusiastic start

LINDEN – Casa do Sol little ones eagerly begin their new journey on the first day of school.

Casa do Sol School’s children of class 1 began the first day of school on a positive note with big smiles on their faces.

Parents were there to offer their support and teachers made an effort to welcome the little ones into their new classrooms.

Alice Ncube, a parent, said she was very happy that her son was starting school and hoped the school would teach him to be more independent. She believed it would be a challenge for him to learn a new language but was positive that he would do well.

The schoolchildren sat at their desks eager to begin with the year’s curriculum and to learn new things with the assistance of the teachers. The class 1 teacher, Amber Lee said on the first day of school they would engage in fun activities.

“Today the learners will be learning how to draw, how to behave in class, engage in various educational activities and make new friends,” said Lee.

Casa do Sol principal, Jenny Drew welcomed parents and little ones to the school and thanked parents for entrusting them with their children’s education.

“Staff members and parents working together will ensure that learners will receive the best education and achieve their full potential,” concluded Drew.
