Abbotts College has another great year

NORTHCLIFF – Matric learners at Abbotts College Northcliff achieve distinctions and Bachelor's Degree passes.

Abbotts College Northcliff celebrates the success of the 2016 Matric class.

The school had 101 full time Matric learners write their final examinations, 70 per cent of whom achieved a Bachelor’s Degree pass and the class achieved a 1.1 distinction rate per candidate.

Class of 2016 learners trickled into the school to get their Matric certificates, to many this certificate was the cherry on top after years of hard work culminating to this very moment.

Principal of the school, JC Engelbrecht said that he was overwhelmingly proud of the success the class achieved. “The Matrics all worked hard under the guidance of staff and all their hard work really paid off.”

Top achiever at the school, Yashir Durapraj, achieved six distinctions. However he plans on getting a re-mark which he hopes will bump up his distinctions to seven.

Engelbrecht expressed that the school focuses on tapping into each learner’s abilities and strengths to achieve their full potential.
